Weird hotel happenings are quite the norm in Hong Kong, and I have already put qutie a few on the Hong Kong Travel page, however here are some more bizzare experiences:

• One night I (Shane) had a spare mattress in my room for a visitor, and phoned housekeep asking for linen. The conversation went:
  
  "Yes sir, how may I help you".
  "I would like two sheets for my spare mattress."
  <Puzzled>: "Hmm, " <then finally> "ok sir, just a moment."

  Following this odd conversation, a perplexed houskeeping boy arrived with:

  "Here sir, is your two boxes of matches."

• Then there was the time someone turned up at their room only to find their key did not fit. About the same time someone else over at the BSR office was probably trying to gain access to the men's toilets with a South Pacific Hotel Room 1205 key. Good one Mike!
