The weather was beautiful the day we headed down the coast to Monterey, Carmel, and 17-mile Drive. Mom and Dad had a personal chauffeur take them around to each of the visitor sites on 17-mile Drive.  At this famous spot sits the Lone Cypress.

One of the last days of M&D's visit we drove up to Big Basin National Park where we took an 'easy' hike through the redwood forest.  At base camp, dad posed inside of one of the largest trees.  This was a very interested trip as we saw the ma and pa trees of the forest (the largest and the oldest  - almost 2000 years old).  Incredible trees.
