We enjoyed the most glorious summer day on June 21, 2003 - our wedding day. We were married in Midland, Ontario - a town near where Laurie spent all her summers growing up at the family cottage in Balm Beach (on the shores of Georgian Bay). The church was 102 years old - St. Paul's United Church in Midland. The reception was held nearby at the Highland Inn with 128 of our friends and family - many who traveled from France, Malaysia, Hong Kong, various parts of the US, Canada and of course - Australia. Our favours represented a bit of Canadiana and Australia as they were maple syrup and chocolate koala bears.
The bridal party from left to right: Tanya Wallgren (friend from high school), Wendy Cook (friend since grade 1), Kelly Nason (sister), The new Mrs. Laurie Weeden, Mr. Shane Weeden, Simon Thomas (friend since grade school), Brett Weeden (brother). Bubble girls in front left: Erin and Alana Kinnersley - daughters of mom's cousin.
The lovely bridesmaids!!
The dress of Laurie's dreams.

The beautiful bouquet. I LOVED it.
Mr. and Mrs. Weeden just before entering the reception area for cocktails. Notice the lucky horseshoe hanging from my left arm. Evelyn (Shane's aunt) and Aileen (Shane's mum) made this lucky item for me to carry after the ceremony.
